FRUSTRATED BY SELF-CHECKOUT?

So Are We!

Grocery stores are cutting staff, forcing shoppers into frustrating self-checkouts. It’s time to demand better!

Everyone hates self-checkout lines. Whether you’re a shopper or a worker, the shopping experience is only getting more frustrating, and help is getting harder to find.

Corporate greed is the real issue. These companies are cutting staff and pushing self-checkout to maximize profits at the expense of both shoppers and workers.

Better staffing = Better shopping. When stores invest in workers, shoppers get better service and a smoother shopping experience.

What People Are Saying

  • "On a good day there is one register open. They have two self-checkout stations and they usually only have one open instead of the two which really makes it stressful and over-crowded."

    Ralphs Shopper

  • "I prefer to check out with a cashier. The staff at this store are all so nice and hardworking, but it’s not pleasant to shop when there’s not enough staff in the store."

    Pavilions Shopper

  • “Tired of them trying to force us to use the automated checkout machines! We want people to help us NOT machines!”

    Vons Shopper

  • "I can say that I have not, and never will, use the self-check-out line. Ralph's replaced several cashier lines with self-check-out machines. People need jobs and machines don't pay bills."

    Ralphs Shopper

  • “Understaffing and constantly being pushed to self checkout are destroying the experience of shopping. It’s painful to see how overworked the staff is, shameful!”

    Albertsons Shopper

  • It’s unbelievable how such a big corporation only has two checkers ringing up people. The self check outs take too long to look up my item then I have to get an approval from your one checkers to approve my item! Please put back human beings to work instead of these machines!”
